Motorcycle?

Everybody knows mechanical clocks and watches are way better than digital! :P

It's like workspaception: a workspace within a workspace.

I imagine viciously passive aggressive conflicts over using the iMac smack-dab in the center of the desk. :P

Let's be honest, he didn't build it for his daughter; it was just as much for himself. :P

I don't mean to suggest anything regarding the viability of a lawsuit, but rather that Marvel can (and probably does) hold copyrights to the name "Magneto" despite it being a pre-existing term rather than original intellectual property.

That's a fair point. "Working" does have various interpretations; I initially read it as rewarding work (on other things) with food. Having them help with the cooking would definitely allow them to appreciate that cooked meals don't just pop out of a replicator a la Star Trek.

That's my point though: achieving shelter and sustenance are basic tasks, whereas something more extraordinary (like an incredible Science Fair project or mowing yards and such) would warrant reward.

They can still hold the rights to the name, much like how "Apple" is a copyright of Apple Inc.
