Jacki is absolutely amazing. I’m so glad she’s seen so much success in the past 10 years. She’s just incredible.

Put an asterisk on it all, given the multiple cheating scandals he and his team has been involved in

In death, she speaks for us all.

Occums razer: is the man who admitted he is bipolar and doesnt take medication for it and periodically displays manic periods

“Please, if you can’t respect me, at least respect my money.”

When is Trump ever that subtle?

I really don’t think he’s put that much thought into it

It’s scary having an unqualified, egotistical, sick and mentally unbalanced person running for most powerful office in the United States.

I keep seeing his behaviour being framed as a publicity stunt, which is certainly possible, but I also think we’re seeing a mentally ill man not get the help he needs in the name of making money and it’s quite sad to watch.

A lot of this show is shot near my girlfriend’s house in Hamilton, Ontario. Last time I was up there, we got to walk around a lot of the exterior sets and facades that are set up all along the main drag. Pretty cool. The detail in them is amazing, and it’s trip to see them on the show now.

The toy sex thing has existed forever, the re emergence of and acceptance of Nazi stuff bothers me more.

When in doubt, it’s a sex thing.

Without having seen more than a few episodes, I’m pretty sure right wing bronies fall in the same category as right wing trekkies - How TF do you watch that show and think its message doesn’t point at a 180° angle away from everything you stand for?

The other day, I was over at my moms and was sujected to cable TV. Total Recall was on, and all the “Dont bullshit me” and three breasted hookers were cut - but hey, Richter getting his arms cut off before falling to his death? That’s A-Okay!

The issue with satire is that the wrong people don’t get that it’s a joke. Only the people who would have agreed in the first place receive the message. The ones who might learn a lesson from satire see it as normal. This further reinforces the problem being satirized. Satire can be funny, but is self-defeating. A

It’s something like the one hard rule the MPAA has. Everything else is weird and arbitrary and nobody understands it.

Exactly, now satire of racism is off limits?  Guess we need to jus burn every copy of “Blazing Saddles”!

Hell, the joke from the Live Show is about how insanely offensive and awful blackface was during that era.

Acting like it never happened is not a step in the right direction.

It remains one of the great ironies that bigoted, intolerant douchebags take their iconography from a film made by two trans women. (Especially since the film can be read as a “coming out” parable fairly easily.)
