@Shadow: I'd be on board with that - just clean, higher-res sprites. That's more or less what they did with the PS1 version, wasn't it? Didn't they touch up the graphics or was it still exactly the same sprites as in the original?

I dread the inevitable cursed day when they'll remake FFVI - the most perfectest, beautifulest, amazingest FF ever made - into a 3D abomination like the DS remakes...
