@ademu: Woah! And chances are it was taken with a camera, too! I wish I were so creative... :(

@Dragonfang18: Details, details... It wouldn't look nearly as cool if the guy just lobbed an ammo clip behind cover, now would it? Sure, the girl will get torn to shreds by bullets, but the way she jumped in the air and then just stood there in the line of fire was... OK, it was stupid and it looked stupid. Needs moar

"Robots, shooting and bad dialogue." So, Vanquish but slower?

@Batman: Based on the Risen demo and the reviews I've read, they're two very different beasts. Risen is much closer to the Gothic games. Divinity II feels less "realistic", more fast-paced (both in combat and simply getting around the map); the world also feels more open.

When it comes to evoking a strong emotional connection between two characters, few games have done it as simply, tenderly and powerfully as The Darkness, with two stand-out scenes that I won't soon forget. I'm sure those who have played it know which particular moments I'm referring to.

@Lovebeast: Tell me about it... I got King's Bounty, Alpha Protocol, Monkey Island 2, Metro 2033 and KOTOR. That's a whole lot of gaming for a mere €20.

@MrGOH: That's very true. The constant dick-measuring contest among a certain clique of PC gamers - who by no means represent the majority but are usually the loudest and most active on the interwebs - is probably the main reason why so many console gamers have these crazy notions about how expensive PC gaming is.

@Matt0505: Whatever could you be talking about? Are you maybe implying that I'm allowed to play on my PC even if I don't buy a new $350 graphics card and upgrade my CPU every six months?

@FoolsGold: Everything Batman is 10x as interesting as anything Superman.

@Doshu: You need a better class of friends, friend. :P

@BigDragon: Drakna, that's it! I was trying to remember the name the other day, but I couldn't. It's been bothering me for days, so thank you! :)

@SpunkyFidget: Sure you can, but you'll pay twice as much as yesterday's sale price. That's less of a hoot. ;)

@apoc_reg: I had no problem with the keyboard controls - in fact, I tried to map controls to a controller using xpadder at first, but it felt more natural and comfortable with the keyboard. There's a 360 version out in Europe, but the loading times are apparently horrible (not an issue on the PC version).

@SpunkyFidget: I don't know, I haven't tried it yet. The sale's over now, though.

I mentioned this game already, but RPG fans should absolutely check out Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga. It's a remastered version of Ego Draconis, with better graphics, none of the technical issues, additional quests in the main game and the expansion.

Alpha Protocol is now mine. I've been wanting to check it out for the story, and for €7.50, I can put with middling gameplay.

@N-Robes: If you have any love for PC RPGs, you can't go wrong with The Witcher and Divinity II: Dragon Knight Saga. They both have a good story (particularly The Witcher) and Divinity II lets you transform into a friggin' dragon like it ain't no thang.

@gokanjin: Very good recommendation. Scarier than anything I've played this gen, it's a real gem.

@Simas: Or €5/$5 for the Deus Ex Collection (DE GOTY + DE Invisible Wars).
