He’s indeed the master of logic, he knows exactly what’s up. But I have a ladybrain, so what do I know?

It’s really really stupid. For an allegedly intelligent man, he says the most stupid of things. Besides, he is implying you can’t be both, you are either A or B, and no one was ever found who could do both. Because all of life is a binary apparently. Ugh. Stupid guy.
I think Ben Goldacre and Brian Cox have written books/articles about bad science reporting. It’s so ubiquitous that I’m not surprised. I have actually read the Swaab’s book (the Dutch version) and while I don’t completely agree with him (he’s very much nature or rather womb and not nurture that shape our brain, and I…
I am not quite sure if I understand, 1 in 5 or 6 people has herpes, but is that genital herpes or the virus in general? I mean, the two are different. I think the genital variant has more stigma attached to it than the other kinds. I have herpes, but the oral kind, gotten from my mum who gave it to me when I was a…
You and Allen have now become an archetype for relationship dynamics. I for example am clearly a Mark, because my boyfriend has the same exact list that Allen had.
Just as a PSA, bras should not pull on your shoulders, but they should be tight around your ribcage. The weight should be carried by your back, not by your shoulders. I would advise you to try smaller back sizes. :)

Isn’t there a pornstar who had sex with a thousand dudes or something? Anyway, totally agree that the dudes were, as was the woman, sexual agents. They all participated and why are we judging exactly? :P
Oh, I don't think it is logical! I understand that it was what people thought, but I still don't quite understand why. Women could (and in sometimes still can) not be sexual agents, owned by their fathers, brothers, husbands or sons yadda yadda. Very... uhm old-testament-y.
I guess the logic here is that women getting pregnant out of wedlock (seriously? LOCK? :P anyway) are immoral, period. So that excuses any misconduct towards them. Which is shitty and stupid and so degrading, but I guess it is what many people thought at the time.
I'm planning on wearing flat strappy sandals. I've seen some silver ones that were super cute. I'm also planning on having warm weather :P and to get hitched in a field. Anyway, since these sandals are sold everywhere right now I have an easy time finding them for really affordable prices (as in 10 euros). I can wear…
Similar genes? I have dry skin that gets scaley and starts pulling if I don't moisturize, but if I moisturize my skin all of a sudden goes into overdrive and is instant slicky oily mess. So I've learned to put on lotion in the evening after removing my makeup and then wash my face in the morning with a bit of lukewarm…
As far as I can see (at least in this film) the costumes are made from cotton or possibly linnen. Still not ideal, but a lot better than wool. :)
Whether or not an invention is commercialized says nothing about that invention or the inventor. The problem is we credit someone with inventing something that he didn't invent. It seems only fair to me to say that Magie invented the game and Darrow commerialized it. I fail to understand why the second is more…
Not as far as I know. The only times I have ever seen coordinated suits was on a gay couple (and movies). I'm a little amused by all the weird customs the US seems to have. Your parents get to invite people? Really? Best men, maids of honour... Why not just have witnesses and be done? The whole RSVP thing with…
Ugh I hate that; super hypocritic people judging the life out of everyone who doesn't live up to the rules they themselves have no problem breaking.
Mr Oosterink just agreed that it's cake and he wanted to eat it. I picked the right guy. :P
^_^ It's not as if I'm an authority on the subject, it's only what I've seen so far. Where I live there is a Turkish community, most women I see in that area are 30-ish? and they wear the shorter headscarves just over their shoulders, and the Somali women I have seen so far tend to wear longer scarves over their hips…
The muslim women I see are all over the colour palet. Blacks, blues, reds, yellows. Especially the younger women tend to wear bright colours and many prints. So I don't think the red is that out of place. Also, she says she borrowed hijabs from a muslim friend, who presumably wears the red one too.
That is exactly what it was like, just wads of fabric with strings to tie it round your waist. And it had to be washed by hand. Women had been doing it like that for centuries. I can imagine why it was such a great invention, pads and tampons, because the earlier pads slipped very easily, so doing lots of moving was…
I feel her remark is not only hypocritical, but also shows a total lack of understanding of social media. Most people are not on social media for the strangers who must shower them with admiration, but to keep in touch with their social circle. Many older celebreties simply don't understand social media. Just like…
