If Iran uses a single nuke on Israel they pretty much guarantee that Israel will systematically reduce each and every Iranian city to rubble using the sizable Israeli nuclear arsenal. I just don't see it happening.

After the 2003 invasion of Iraq by the U.S., and all the anti-Iran rhetoric by the U.S., the Iranians would be fools to not try to develop nuclear weapons. Iraq has no hope of repelling a U.S. invasion by conventional means, but if they manage to cobble together a couple nukes it would significantly reduce the chances…
I like how these media executives put all their energy into trying to keep a dying business model (DVD sales) alive rather than trying to come up with a viable new business model.
I use a total of four. A work MacBook Pro connected to an external 24 inch monitor and a personal MacBook White connected to a 21 inch external monitor, with a keyboard shared between them using Synergy. And I often wish I had more screen space.
Last night I just happened to be reading about the nuclear tests India did in 1998 (Google Pokhran-II). According to Wikipedia the test that involved similar sub-kiloton yields was undetected by seismometers.
I like how just a few minutes later Gizmodo posted "Here's Everything Apple Could Buy with the Billions They Just Made."
Sure looks like they didn't stake that tent down in any way.
Is it really possible to do a brute force attack on a website password without triggering a lockout or the traffic volume being noticed?
Exactly. I made a similar comment before I read this comment-thread. Security theatre: "Look how careful I am being, I change my password regularly!"
What exactly is the value of changing your password? Do password get more hackable with age? If your current password is not compromised, how does changing it reduce risk? The only scenario where changing your password would do any good is where it has been previously hacked by someone who has been laying low and not…
Your reasoning about an imported product makes sense, but I don't think an imported product can be entirely discounted. Back in 2008 during the contaminated heparin from China incident I read that critical ingredients were being processed in home workshops by hundreds of individuals who supplied the Chinese company…
Back in the 80s a bunch of people developed Parkinson's Disease after taking poorly made synthetic opiates.
If you go to the link I posted in response to Nauthiz they have a screenshot at the bottom comparing the course in this incident to the course during a close pass of the same island in August. In August the ship approached the island at a very shallow angle and was seldom, if ever, pointed at any hazards. In…
Thanks. I found another page that was linked from the gcaptain.com page that has some interesting info:
What was the source of the data for this video? I tried to follow the link to the original You Tube video but it took me back to the Gizmodo post.
I agree. Gamma radiation is pure electromagnetic radiation and I don't see how it would create out of focus white streaks on a camera detector. If the radiation was triggering individual pixels on the detector you would expect hard edged flashes of light.
Just last week I finally threw away my iPad 1 box. It was a struggle, but I just kept telling myself that even though it looks and feels really cool, there is zero chance I will ever use that box again.
How do you think they accrued that stack of cash?
I dislike driving and take public transportation whenever I can so that I can relax and read rather than navigating busy streets (stop and go traffic is painless on a bus). The problem is that public transportation options are limited in most US cities. I would gladly buy an autonomous car and let it do the driving.
Boy, what a bunch of hand-wringing over not much. Let me take a stab at solving these complex issues that have the experts flummoxed:
