Every time someone posts a reference to this show, I end up going to Netflix and watching an entire season. Damn you...but thank you...but damn you.
I, for one, welcome our new Fiat overlords.
I'm willing to bet Bill Oddie will buy one with the sole purpose of driving above the speed limit in Japan.
Love these guys. I'm hoping to do my own Car Talk type show on college radio sometime in the near future.
Assuming we're going with the fact that you won't die or get hurt when you're in a car crash in a video game's universe then sure, why not. Not to mention in the video game universe, if you stuff a Lancia Stratos (or any rare car) it magically repairs itself. It's impossible to total a car. You won't have to worry…
But wouldn't the 5/7 or A6/A8 convey the same sort of status symbol? I can see your point though considering status is somewhat culturally bound.
I know they like being driven around, but why not just skip the middleman and buy the more expensive already longer 5/7, A6/A8? They have to have the money if they're paying for a chauffeur and can afford a new BMW/Audi in China.
What's the point of stretching a "compact" executive car? Why not just buy a 5 series or an A6? Doesn't an elongated 3 series or A4 render those models redundant?
Although the F40 is my favorite, the F50 comes before the Enzo and LaFerrari in my book. It's certainly got more character and looks more outlandish than any other Ferrari, and that's gotta count for something.
If it's been a few months since the last oil change and the trip is over 500 miles, I always replace the oil, even if it still has a thousand miles or so to go before the next change is due.
Subaru's CVT is so annoying. This isn't some rant about how all cars should be manuals or something, it's just an annoying option that plagues a lot of really good cars. It's bad even by automatic standards. My parents' Legacy is a fine car overall, but the shifts in M mode are sluggish at best, it's noisy as all…
I saw that. It's funny it's in dynamic (as well as boost) but not race. I know people like the g-meter gimmick but the boost and oil temp are definitely more important when ragging the hell out of a car.
Honestly, pass them and hope you won't have to run into them again.
I'm surprised to not see required mastery of a standard transmission before getting a license isn't on here considering the views of the Jalop readership. In regards to number 2, the UW system employs key vans/trucks as part of their fleet, which always seemed a little hypocritical to me.
