Here's my thought for the drivetrain, largely dually wheels, with a mix of straight engine power (going with the idea proposed that you don't need a transmission); battery charging engines for powering electric motor driven dually assemblies; some steering only wheels (electric); dual exhaust noise only generating

This dude's just the real life equivalent of a comment troll. Pay him no mind!

It doesn't make for fun headlines, but they could be there because of the abuse the ring hands out. And to see how comfortable the back seat is during such abuse.

Tokae is dead on. The opti wasn't all that bad on its own. It just needed to be in a sealed environment and not under a waterfall. Venting it didn't help much either. It also would have helped if the water pump was a bit better too.

I honestly don't remember/or saw that one! Nice!

I have a sudden appreciation for the paint job efforts of the entire subculture, just from this pic. Hipster irony, ya got nothing on this.

For a site that seems to take pride on not being the RealPlayer of this decade (I'm looking at you Youtube) you would think they wouldn't screw with stuff like that.

You win! ;)

Were I part of the more-money-than-brains club, I would gladly pay up the 7500 for the body alone, then swap in say, a WRX drivetrain, although only RWD.

In other news, GM announced Saturn will be re-launched as part of a new "NUMMI" arrangement with Toyota.

Great nighttime half empty highway song. Especially when driving long distance for work.

My personal theory is that it's about concentration and has something to do with meter.

As someone who has spent about a decade around the 9c1 crowd, including two people a dealer who sold 300+ of them used... most police cars just have crazy extra wiring and a cooler for every fluid. Even the mighty LT1 was just a base Caprice 2 bolt main, no different than civilian. My 05 Z56 Tahoe is no different.

If you really want to make your head hurt, search around for Volume Wars, dynamic range, mastering engineers, etc. It's all about making it as loud as the medium will allow. Me, I'm on the side of not seeing that stuff fiddled with, but I'm a listener, not a marketing exec.

Congrats on not just a COTD Rai_Fox, but a full article! I read the original comment the other day; it's so nice to see it all "grown up!"

I don't know that I agree with it being a problem. The people likely to see that "advance footage" are those of us refreshing Jalopnik all day. We'll read about it today and watch it again in six months when it airs.

Yes, except the wagon market can be a bit pricey. An LT1 sedan might be an option. They've got tons of room. Pick up a high mile 9c1 and with steel wheels, I think they tow like 5000+ lbs.
