I cannot believe I'm defending ESPN but this piece is bullshit.
Its easy for you now, in an age of a myriad of sports sites that have aspirations to something other than a few scores or pap interviews, well crafted sports docs in cinema and on TV, and the entire internet awash in people with tertiary education trying

Totally agree with this. Music snobs are THE WORST. On two separate occasions, I had someone say to me "I can't like that song because <popular artist singing it> doesn't write their own music." I can't think of a dumber reason for not liking a song than that. How many of his hit songs did Sinatra write? And Beyonce

What makes music snobs even MORE ridiculous is that most of them can't give an objective reason why and when they started shitting gold, let alone why your preferences are in fact trash. Self-awareness and earnestness are greatly overvalued too. Twee, twee, look at me!

Metalheads (especially the young ones) are also the last real bastion of racism, homophobia and misogyny in music crit. Most music snobs have at least come to terms with women and gay people existing but metalheads kind of lurk in that retrograde, white guys only world that the rest of us moved on from years ago. I

Metalheads. MY GOD. Metalheads are the absolute worst. Not only is literally every other kind of music terrible, but God forbid you listen to the wrong sort of metal. It's literally the only genre where not only can I not differentiate between the subgenres, but it doesn't sound like anything but noise.

I think you're drastically overlooking music snobbery here. Music has one real purpose: to entertain you in some way. If it entertains you, it's good music. It doesn't matter one bit whether anyone else in the known universe finds it entertaining — if it entertains YOU, it's good music for YOU.

Point of fact: She was an intern for WEST Virginia (also known as the Best Virginia, Almost Heaven, the Mountain State, and West-By-God) Congressman Bob Wise. We've been a state since June 20, 1863, and recently celebrated our sesquicentennial. Having been a state for a full 150 years, we tend to get a little

This summer intern sure must wield a lot of power. Getting the graphics department to write the names without question, the anchor to actually speak them without questioning his or her authority, the production managers to okay everything. A real master of puppets.

...and sad sacks plagiarize mediocre Rob Delaney tweets in search of likes.

Fact remains that, based on this....

How many people do you think even knew who Oday Aboushi was before these articles were written? And then, how many people do you think formed very strong opinions about Oday Aboushi based entirely on these articles and his religion?

Man...I'm gonna have to disagree. I've written a good amount about Pamela Geller, David Horowitz, and that crew in the past, and I would argue that to guys like this, race and religion are intrinsically linked. It's one of the reasons why they get along with the EDL so much, which in addition to being anti-Islam is

We're a persecuted minority that have been called members of a violent cult of death. Despised by the media and viewed with suspicion because of the terrible and barbaric behavior of a few extremists among us. Evangelical Christians hate us because of recent actions we've taken against one of their own.

This is glorious. I love this. ESPN has become such a mockery of itself as of late. They're taking hits left and right, nowadays. Between the piss poor analysis, the refusal to do their job (you know, cover sports!) in lieu of gossip, the subjects that they feel the need to just hammer through our skulls (Tebow/NY/BOS

Clearly you are not a professional pilot, though you come from a family of pilots.
