It happened to me too, but I would try and find an angle were I could shoot, back down, and wait for it to dissapear, then repeat the process. At least until I got the shotgun.

They also work as a way to “cheese” molded. I would open the door a little, see if I can aim to their head while being safe with the door not quite open, and shoot at them. It does not always work, and the the ones with the big claws will hit you, but it works :)

I agree that the last DLC was too short, but I think it is short for a reason, since it seems you lack an item you might get on “The Ringed City”. I actually consider Dark Souls 3 better than 1, in the fact that is gets what was right with both previous games and Bloodborne in so many things. I only wish we had more…

I’m pretty sure you’ll get an item hinted at the end of “Ashes of Ariandel” in “The Ringed City” that’ll give you more content. I’m being vague as to avoid spoilers, but if you have finished AoA, you might know what I mean.

I agree, mechanically, DS2 is almost flawless. And the lore after the SoTFS patch it’s actually worthwhile  But “Day-one” Ds2 was really bad and unimpressive.
