I don’t understand why the ACA would have been written with the level of specificity that only protected hourly and not salaried employees. I know the answer is probably “political bullshit” but I still don’t get how or why that distinction would be made.

I’m so sorry for these people’s loved ones, who have video documentation of (and some watched live) the most traumatic and horrifying experience that will likely happen in their lives. What is ahead for them personally is a challenge no one should face, and I just feel so awful for them.

Do you have any idea how much first class costs? It’s not incrementally more expensive - it is typically 5-10 times more than economy. I think it is a reasonable accommodation to share a bit of warm food with someone with special needs, to make the world a little less cold and cruel, to make the person feel comforted…
