Are you sure that you weren't actually working at Target and your mom just said it was traveling/vacation?
Are you sure that you weren't actually working at Target and your mom just said it was traveling/vacation?
its actually kind of offensive. It strikes me as some misogynist shit. put it on gawker. Why the fuck is this here.?
I don't blame her. She didn't want to get stuck with a needle and she didn't want to stick you in the eye. You may want to look into a dentist that uses gas during procedures, especially if dental work makes you that jumpy. It's safer and more chill for everyone.
Another reason cops should have to be recorded at all times a'la End of Watch. Cops should always be forced to show evidence of any charge, always. If people are supposed to have any sort of authority a higher standards should be included no matter what.
Holy shit. Holy fucking shit. Makes you afraid to call the police. These cops piss me off. I have done some work with some pretty amazing officers, watched them risk their lives and stand up for the oppressed. Cops like this piece of shit give those amazing men and women a bad name.
Like I said, I love dogs. But the military is cutting benefits to real human families. I know people say that "Oh, it's just the cost of a tank" but it doesn't work that way. And, I'm sorry, there is still a limited amount of attention people have in terms of "These are the things the military should reform" and I…
Absolutely right. There may be many people that *want* to give them homes... There are VERY, VERY few who are actually equipped to deal with a dog that has aggression issues... And most of those who *are* equipped to deal with it will likely tell you that euthing is the most humane option.
I love puppies and dogs and my little guy is a rescue and blah blah blah.
I'm a dog lover. Love dogs. But I'm sorry, let's let the military focus on proper medical care for human soldiers before spending time, attention and money on such few dogs with unprovoked aggression. Priorities, people.
If I get attacked, so be it. It's the internet - I can't please everyone.
You might get attacked (like an aggressive dog) for this comment, but you're 100% right.
How many times does a website have to get a stat wrong in it's headlines before it stops being "an editing error" and just becomes "lying"?
Secondly, what exactly are they supposed to do with dogs that are too dangerous and have shown "repeated unprovoked aggressive action"? Just give them away to the public and…
Dogs that show "repeated unprovoked aggressive action" need to be put down. Sorry. Aggressive dogs like that cannot be ethically adopted out-they can be dangerous to everyone around them. I cannot think of a single humane society or shelter that would take a dog with that sort of behavioral history.
So dog veterans get the same shitty treatment after service as human veterans, I guess.
OK, but ... the number of dogs (and cats) killed every year in the USA runs into the millions. Doesn't everyone know that? I'm not saying it's OK, but this article really shouldn't be a surprise to anyone.
Many of those are deemed unsuitable for adoption because of "repeated unprovoked aggressive action." But people still want them, so there should be a more effective system to get these pups into homes.
When I was in college, my dad took me to the doctor so I could see the nutritionist. I was over 18. I wanted to see the nutritionist on my own, as it was my first time and I was self-conscious about my weight and I wanted her to tell me I was fat without my father rubbing it in (he called me fat a lot and told me all…
And that's exactly right. I have two kids in their teens. We're open about sex, the risks, the benefits, the need for safety. It's not one conversation but a constant ongoing one. A nurse wants to talk to my kid for five minutes without me? AWESOME.
Exactly. Maybe without mom in the room, the teen might have said something along the lines of, "Hey, I've kind of got this weird lump on my breast and it's kind of tender. Is this normal?" It places the burden of not being seen, and not being treated appropriately/on time, on the mother who couldn't be bothered with…
Sickening. For me it is the gut punch that is particularly revolting.
