Their track jackets work great for screen printing purposes, which is why I've ended up with three of them so far (sports teams/orgs that printed on them). I also have two pairs of tights - they're the only store I could find that had adult tights in opaque white and also had opaque burnt orange. They also don't slide

I was just thinking about this - what does she feel like right now? I'd imagine guilty (though of course it isn't her fault) and probably despondent. Sometimes you can do all you can for someone and they've at least got to give an inch. I hope she's able to come to terms with what happened eventually and if she feels

I know Philip Seymour Hoffman is a celebrity and I didn't know him and would likely never, ever run into him, but his death feels oddly personal. He was one of the only actors I felt really invested in and it felt like he was somehow more accessible to me in a way I can't explain. I hate that this happened and hate

Waterproof mascara aaaaaaaaaaaaaand GO!

It sounds the same - a .22 difference sounds negligible and both numbers technically round to 2. But when you apply those values to a huge population, that difference becomes larger.

Semantics they may be, but still an important distinction that many don't really understand. The terms aren't interchangeable in the culinary hierarchy.

Edit: "entry-level chefs" should be "entry-level cooks" (as per CheeseWhiffs' comment).

I'm really happy to see more attention being paid to women in the culinary field. There was a great feature in the last issue of Lucky Peach about the mostly female staff at Manresa. It would be great to see more women in cooking positions off the pastry line (but on the pastry line, too)!

My dad is going on 64 and has had a Facebook account for probably a year and a half. He still doesn't really understand how it works. If I post something, he'll comment on it, but the content of his comment won't be relevant to the post. I think he thinks by commenting that he's sending me a message and doesn't

This. Myself and Mr. Wisdom saved up the money and dined at Alinea, and we traveled from Texas to do so. If this had happened while we were there, we'd have been livid.

This is completely unacceptable. I'm sympathetic to people with children in sticky situations, IE babysitter cancels, but if you've eaten at Alinea or a similar restaurant, this is seriously not okay. The food at a three-star restaurant is a huge deal. The experience of eating there is just as big of a deal, and

Same. I straight up don't like it (on me). It's uncomfortable. I could give a shit less if I don't shave my armpits for a while and people see it (I'm an athlete, people see my pits on a regular basis), but by that point it really has to go, because I just don't like it. Same with legs and everywhere else that isn't

While I understand that they'd feel somewhat isolated given the popularity of social media, it seems like actual communication via visit, phone call, or written letter would be that much more intimate and meaningful. I say this, of course, as a person that doesn't have to deal with any of this.

I'd actually be relatively interested in that. A challenge where you have to make whatever's in your closet work? That's something I'd be motivated to try.

Can I have those brows, please?

These look fantastic! How do they do on women with bigger calves? That's my other struggle. It looks like they'd do well.

I've never had any exposure to them. I prefer to try on before I buy but I'd be willing to give it a shot.

I saw some good looking Levi's on the JC Penney website. Might have to run out there and try some on. Thanks for the recommendation!

I hate that place but I can't find skinny jeans that aren't jeggings that actually fit me for a reasonable price anywhere else. (Please, anyone, if you know where a girl can find some 30x30 skinny jeans that can accommodate some thighs that aren't over $100, PLEASE let me know. Did I say PLEASE enough yet? Seriously.)

This. I prefer synthetic makeup brushes over natural, but I know a lot of people who prefer natural for certain things. Most of those brushes, even the higher-end ones, are made in China, and this would be far from the first article discussing animal mistreatment there. No animal deserves to be treated
