the 124 has a really weird liftoff oversteer behavior. driving a rental car somewhat sporty but by no means hard in the mountains in italy this summer i had one moment almost like this.. i was NOT going fast, was very surprising.

is the steering as wonky as they say, or do you LOVE your car?

dino would be at the “6c” level.. a turbo or hybrid 6 cyl.. kind of like an NSX competitor except.. you know.. desirable.

it’s difficult to make a turbo 6 cyl car, when they already gave alfa romeo that option with the quadrifoglio, and the upcoming 2 door giulia. There is only so much you can do with a turbo v6.. which is the boring everyday engine now for most manufacturers.

honestly.. if they hadn’t plastered a nostalgic NSX sticker on it.. would you even care?

clearly a high end shop as they had a pagani Huayra front end in there.

you my friend, just made a very smart comment on Jalopnik. It should win COTD but it won’t because it’s not glib and concise. But that bit about “it’s not the argument i’m having with you, its the argument in my head” goes to the depth of human nature.. and part of the reason for many wars. And you crystallized it

hahahah... perfect answer

look out for officer Snow.. that’s all I’m gonna say.. Officer Snow is going to do you deliverance style when he catches you.. not too far after cavity corner... hiding back there in the woods waiting for you to go 36mph instead of 35mph. yep..

no, it was more like super-rapid heartbeat, and trying to force my brain to absorb every detail and memory so i could digest later.

...everything with “mclaren f1" in the title is just click-bait.. and i’m clicking. also.. this is me sitting in a F1 GTR Longtail.. also clickbait of sorts to my instagram profile because somehow Likes and Follows are gratifying.

i started out in europe at birth then came here to lord over all the provincials. it’s been fun.. sometimes i get called names.

in italian, it’s name means “country dinosaur”.. so i can’t even imagine how cool the city version must be.

there are too many almost identical choices, even “special” cars like M versions, AMG, and V-versions and S-versions.. have become commoditized. Brands did this to themselves.. they diluted and diluted and increased niches until it all became equally somewhat ho-hum desirable. But they kept increasing prices until it

many families in usa make over $1M/year.. people are much richer than they used to be. people are also much poorer than they used to be. there has been a separation.

it seems small. meaning... look how big the Phantom is vs regular cars... it needs that presence as a differentiator. This just looks like another shape of SUV.. Range Rover is more imposing.

i wish someone would answer the Ed Sheeran question though.

and as absurd as this all sounds.. it’s actually much more relevant to gearheads than cars trying to outdo each other in top speed claims. A super quiet car is something which you can actually enjoy.. this car is actually designed for its purpose. Whereas extreme, hypercars, are designed for roads which don’t exist.

wouldn’t it be refreshing if someone in today’s society just said things as they are. examples like:

yea, THIS is the one us mere mortals are waiting for.
