F-5 (that's an F-15 in the background...)

Yogi- clearly less seaworthy than the aaaaverage boat!

Interesting to see what looks like a PRNDL lever- I always thought the ZIL transmissions were push-button. Maybe they moved to a lever when they went to a 3-speed box from 2-speed.

They already have- "E" plate means 1987-88.

The various cars designed for Tatra by Hans Ledwinka- this is the V570 prototype (never produced), but the resemblance to the slightly larger production T97 is also pronounced.

Most people's flesh is the same colour, it's the skin that's different...

This saved General De Gaulle from an assassination attempt by members of his own army with machine-guns. It drove off at top speed on 3 wheels...

I think he means Elon Musk...

The headroom under the door is decent unless they hired a midget to stand under them at Photo 6- so practically all women and most men will be OK. Sure, you may have problems if you're 6'4" and have kids under 5...

The commentator is definitely speaking Russian, but I don't think it's in Russia- trucks in Russia have the license plate painted in big letters (a few feet high) on the back. Unfortunately the quality isn't good enough to see a plate on the truck or the bike, or what alphabet the sign they pass is in.

The body panels are still aluminium, but the chassis never were (and still aren't). Still, you can get them galvanised...

Land Rover. I'm not sure which one to post, as they changed from the Series III to the Ninety/One Ten, now renamed Defender, in 1985. I'll post the Defender as I see more of those, and most of the ones I see are on 1980s plates (British license plates tell you the age of the car).

No-one does this any more, though...

Now playing

Forget the turbocharged LS1- this video's all about the bus axle dyno!

Do you mean the Ambassador or the German cars?

Not in the developed world (except maybe Russia)- the closest you get is a 1-series or maybe a base-spec C-class since the death of the Panther and the Opel Omega.

Le Taxi de la Marne dit "quitte ma pelouse!"

No, the Vauxhall/Opel Corsa and Suzuki Cultus are different cars, though both were sold as the Holden Barina in Australia.

It seems like one of the main design criteria was sufficient storage space for his beer supply...
