@thedarkerside.to: Did you see how big the box was? I think there are now a few services that do use specialised motorcycles with pizza-delivery-style boxes (but on a much faster bike), but you couldn't fit that box on a police motorcycle.

Oddly enough, many British police forces nowadays are reluctant to use police cars to transport organs- it's left to ambulance services. Every so often there's a legal case because British law only allows ambulances to break speed limits when they're transporting patients (and not organs). I'm unaware of any that have

Of course, "le car" is French for "the coach", as in a bus. I'm not sure which one is the better choice for transportation...

@Batshitbox: My dad's Prius (bought for avoiding the congestion charge in London) was recently stolen and used in an armed robbery. The car was found abandoned, but the robbers are still at large. Speed doesn't mean anything in London traffic, and there are so many silver Priuses (see aforementioned congestion charge)

@jackslackofselfrespect: This is pretty much the same- a varying magnetic field from varying voltage through a coil is the same as one from moving a magnet.

@parabellum2000: I think private ownership of pistols is allowed in Northern Ireland.

Delage D8, An American in Paris

@Mikeado: I was going to say either this or the mob boss's black Fiat Dino.

These were also built as a car-bomb barricade:

What's Chinese for "Hang on a minute lads, I've got a great idea!"?

@ratbark: Plenty of places where the speed limit is above 65.

@Whack-A-mole: I remember seeing a "truck of the future" in one of those 80s kids' books about what the world would be like in 20 years, where the entire tractor unit, engine and all, was under the trailer. The driver's compartment might not have been, but it was about level with where the driver of a sedan would be.

@Tommy861: Without disc brakes, riding on snow becomes a whole lot harder, zip ties or no zip ties...

@Smitty: She would probably have put the floor mats under the front wheels...

@KillerRaccoon: I've never heard anyone claim that the 1-series is a station wagon/ estate, though. I'm not sure where you draw the line.

@arswaim: Some kind of turbine or rotary- 13B? Alternatively, how about the V6 from the SM?
