I like music hardware a lot. My music system was “upgraded” with old hardware. Fully professionally restored: Technics turntable, a Pioneer RT-909 Reel-to-Reel deck, Nakamichi RX-202, Yamaha equalizers, DBX 3BX Dynamic Range Expander to name the main additions.

Having a laptop with a always 90% full SSD makes me have all my music on a portable device. I really hate iTunes, but I keep my music on an iPod 4th gen teamed with Spotify for IOS 6. No android phone I had has matched music reproduction of my old refuse-to-die Apple product.

My TV reports 1080p HD when using Dish. Probably bad settings on your box or TV.

In which city do you live? In Mexico there are a lot of companies offering HD channels; Satellite services, most cable companies, even there are offerings over fiber (like AXTEL), not cable.

Whatever is good or not, legal or not, it does not matter. GIFs are used as clickbait to get people go to pages with paid ads. Copyright owner does not get any cent of that revenue.
