I left my comment short. You are right, it's all about talent. My comment about the steadycam was that back in the day of the shooting the cameras were huge and the steady rig also was big. Just imagine holding that setup and following the actors as they pass doors, narrow corridors, stairs, people. Just amazing.
It's not FX, but Good Fellas long take is a masterpiece. We are talking 1990, steadycams were not new, but not as advanced as today.
Yep, I noticed after I published the post. Thanks to note. Question, dropping dry ice into the pool instead of liquid nitrogen could land the same nasty results?
About a month ago, in Mexico City, on a "promo" party, some asses throw dry ice to a pool where people were partying, 4 or more full size coolers. Result: 10+ people intoxicated, one of them went into a coma.
The craziest is the state of Florida.
That's what you get for using jeans at your wedding.
I'm missing Google reader so much. Everyone here is bitching about clicking and scrolling.
Microsoft does't own You Tube, so they can't improve it, they have to adhere to Google specs.
With a 1 to 1 pedal / wheel ratio, you will get exhausted very quickly.
In Mexico, we answer "bueno" (good), for the same historic reason, the lines in the past were so bad that you had to tell the other party that the communication is good.
Gizmodo, I want my three minutes back.
I am not a dedicated collector, but I know what I want and generally how much to pay for a desired record.
Way too much. The article in the link says it took 6 months just to take out all the records out of the house. Now you need to categorize them, I don't know how many people these guys are going to put to sort and classify, but they have to know what are they doing, not just temps. So categorize is going to be costly…
Not even close. To give some value it has to be categorized, and that will take time and money. Some will be damaged beyond recovery. Some will be pure crap, better selling them by weight. A lot will be just cheap records that you can still find everywhere. Probably there will be a good bunch of highly sought records…
I'll buy any japanese print from the 60s to 1981-82 of any British Blues Rock bands. On the spot.
It's a full volume with main topics cross referenced. You are presented to 10 main topics (Matter and Energy, The Earth, etc.) From there you have Divisions, these division indicates the page on the volume where you will find specific themes. On the themes you get suggested readings on the Macropedia and entries on…
I love Legos, but c'mon, I'd rather be caught with hookers.
I have a 2003 Encyclopedia Britannica full 29 books, 2 index books, 1 propaedia, and 2001 yearbook, Plus History of art (9 volumes) and Science and Nature Encyclopedia (12 volumes). All of it occupy a full bookcase.
Awsome, thanks
