Oh, I don’t disagree. I would think the pent-up demand in the U.S. should already be fading, but the distribution thing is an acute, current problem specific to the number of deliveries in the most recent quarter.

I think the big negative was that they produced more cars than they could deliver, and by a significant amount at that. They’ve solved the production problem, but now have an even bigger distribution problem.

God, the fight game was so much better before cellphone video.

There were three exemptions. I believe there was one for the headlamps, one for the bumpers, and the airbags, if I recall. The cars were crash tested however for DOT/NHTSA approval. Spyker actually was allowed to repair different monocoques damaged in one test to be retested with a different type of test, such as

The day I drove one was just a couple of weeks after I drove a Ferrari Challenge car. The Spyker actually felt more alive, more in tune with me and my inputs than did the Ferrari. I was blown away by that.

One of the exemptions Spyker got from NHTSA regs had to do with the bumpers and that front clamshell they are supposed to protect.

Because the typical Spyker is a seventh car for most owners (heard that one from Victor Muller himself), very, very few will ever get parallel parked on the street for the day, and, since

Imagine it this way: The rod with the shifter is supported by the rod below and is kept parallel by a connecting rod that wraps around each shaft (but does not transfer longitudinal movement to rotating movement the way a connecting rod does in an engine). The lower shaft is fixed between the bulkheads. The upper

Solidly middle class here. In addition to an astronomically large mortgage for the home we had in the shitty burb where we lived (schools bad enough for us to send our kids to a Catholic school—another tax of sorts), here is what we paid when we lived in the NYC burbs for transportation.

$560—car payment
$510— car

People talk about “bespoke” when it comes to Aston Martin or Bentley. I’m here to tell you that car companies that make 5,000 or more cars per year, including some made alongside Volkswagens, are hardly using bespoke parts. But Spyker? Those cars were truly bespoke.

And that exposed shift linkage with the concentric

Are you referring to the game I grew up that we called “the Dominican Pastime?”

Passive voice is not only weak grammar, but a good way of passing the buck by not having to name names. Also, passive voice is bullshit.

It goes back a few years, but they are referring to this rocket surgeon’s explanation for this dipshit move.

Huh, pretty clever, but I was even lazier when I went to WashU.

We were living in a third-floor apartment. We threw the recliner off the balcony because we didn’t want to carry it down the stairs. If it survived, we would take it to the next apartment.

It survived. We took it to the next place.

Don’t forget Chris Chelios. That guy never aged. He’s like the Jennifer Aniston of hockey.

Sure, but it has an horrendous aftertaste like all artificial sweeteners. And there is plenty of evidence to suggest that drinking diet soda has other adverse effects on you. Given the choice between diet soda (flavored with anything other than sugar, not just aspartame) and water, I’ll take the H2O every single time,

Probably not new, but I heard this one recently: University of Spoiled Children.

Are any of those lease rebates based on conquest/competitive lessees moving to GM? Just curious.

The hidden cameras were inside the toilets of the female employees’ restroom.

How many months are left on the lease? Aren’t there companies that will try and find people to assume the last months of your lease?

Another option, depending on whom your leasing from, and if you intend to buy from the same maker, that they will forgive a payment or two if you do.

Any advertised lease is likely subvented, meaning subsidized. They have to show the residual and other terms. From that, you can calculate the money factor.

The trick used to be negotiating the price and THEN announcing that you want to lease, but a purchase price today on many models likely has a shit ton of
