I bought a nearly new (11k miles) 4-banger 94 Wrangler for $12,000, with full steel doors/hardtop. I had it for a couple of years prior to the military, 4 years of military service, 4 years of college, 4 years of medical school and 4 years of residency. Rarely had a problem with it that wasn't easily fixed.

Yellow Jeep TJ. An absolute classic.

That thing just wont die. I hit a deer last year at 45 and all that there was was a little fur in the grille. The only thing so far that has bested it was my dad's '95 Roadmaster. I backed into it and it left a huge dent in the rear bumper.

92 HO. Bulletproof.
Carried me through 2 accidents. One of which I ended up repairing in my garage.

And minor issues that do develop are easy to work on (ie... new starter)

Dat 4.0. I have a '92 Cherokee which I nominated and that engine has been bulletproof for all 250,000+ miles it has seen.

Late 90s or early 2000s. Nice and tall to ignore those pesky curbs or holes. The engines are built strong like a tank. Especially the 4.0 that was in the sport and Sahara. Wish I had one vs my old Chevy fullsize. I did end up getting one a few years later and even though it was put on it's side when wheeling it
