Agreed. I get what Lauren means about her affect and I was ready for the cringe, but I didn’t at all. She seems genuinely surprised and excited to meet Ru. I don’t think she was prepared for it all. Stephen kept being like what would you like to say to Ru and you could tell she was just at a loss. Which is how I

You know those celebrities who are working so hard and doing so much good and saying so much quality stuff that it’d break your heart if they ever turned out to be vicious, two-faced assholes, Jessica Chastain is one of those people for me. If I could’ve counted on anyone with a megaphone to call out that Sansa

It’s so funny for me to remember that when they were first cast, I thought Richard Madden and Kit Harington should have switched roles. In my head, from reading the books, Kit looked more like Robb, and Richard looked more like Jon. Now that just seems ridiculous.

Agree! I will always be a Hathaway apologist on Jezebel. She is a theater nerd and earnest as hell and how lovely that she seems to know herself and be just fine with it.

Jessica Chastain gives the impression that she is out-of-this-world sharp. The roles she seems to pick are amazing and I think she’s not a superstar only because she’s selective about the roles she plays. So personally I think she’s on her own level.

Seriously.  These writers love to disparage the “cool girl” trope.  Spoiler:  they’re the actual “cool girls” and this separatist bullshit is ... what’s the word the kids use these days? ... problematic.

Thanks for the article. Here are a couple others:

Yeah, I don't understand why some of the Jezebel writers go out of their way to hate on her for... ? whatever it is, it seems fairly innocuous.

You and your husband haven’t seen Fury Road? Rectify that situation, it is the closest we will ever get to multi-million dollar blockbuster meets art-house film.

So what if her brand of dork isn’t your brand of dork.

He’s also in the X-Men movies with Sophie Turner. So he’s basically on GOT.

To be fair, that’s not the greatest photo of Ed. I’ll just leave this here, as this is one of many that makes it difficult to tell who’s who.

Spinoff- Game of Skins (a prequel)

Reviving the Hatha-hate, huh? I’m pretty sure the worse anyone can accuse her of is liking her job, working hard at her job, and not being named Jennifer Lawrence.

Now playing

They’ve shared the screen, but not as brothers. (Next time, hopefully.)

Maybe they’d already cast Ed Skrein and realised they couldn’t have both.

He was terrific in The Favourite (and probably would not have been able to book it had he been in GOT, so it all worked out in the end). I do feel it was a pity his handsome face was hidden behind all the makeup, but he did look purty in his rouge, powdered wig, and culottes.

I still can’t believe that the weird-looking kid from About a Boy turned out so smoking hot.

My husband and I watched The Favourite the other night and I was trying to explain to him who Nicholas Hoult is and the best I could do was explain that I knew him as a heel character from an awesome teen show with Gilly and Gendry and now that I think of it, why isn’t he on Game of Thrones? Question answered!
