Testimonial - I was about 145 pounds of doughy geek about 5 years ago when I picked up Starting Strength. Now I’m 185 pounds of surprisingly firm geek.

Just read this article about her from a year ago, she knew too. :’[

Why does this one seem so familiar? It’s like I’ve seen it somewhere outside of gaming. Oh, wait a minute.

“Raphael the team leader”

What the hell? Do you want them to have a disclaimer that says:

Dumb article that only exists for a click, which in turn references a dumb essay that itself only exists for a click.

“Hey guys, some people used this art/historical moment/idea for racist/sexist/etc. purposes, and it is wrong wrong wrong to reference the art/historical moment/idea without referencing (read:

Obviously keeping the racist undertones would be bad. But not having them is also bad? Should everything ever that references something old have a disclaimer that says ‘in this era people were racist/sexist/etc’? Hell, considering how shitty people still are, even that could be considered whitewashing by suggesting

“It’s not correct if it does not have this.” “But that is frown on by today’s world” “Then it is not TRUE era art.” ...I guess?

Not saying this to dispute the point of the article, but I’d wager the vast majority of people who like this animation have no idea it had racist associations. To them it’s a beautiful game with an old art style.

Now playing

Stuff like this is why older players want world pvp to make a comeback. You haven’t lived until you’ve been mind controlled into the lava in BRM and died. Or 2 shot from a stealthed rogue. Or spending 4 hours going back and forth in Hilsbrad with no real winner or loser, but so much damn fun.

In all fairness, Andromeda wasn’t bad

Overwatch is darker and less happy for every passing moment without a Jetpack Cat in it.

Okay, so there’s a reference to Heroes of the Storm, which has references to overwatch, so it’s a self-referencing loop. Potentially infinite! Where does it end? It doesn’t.

We need to go deeper...

It ends when the Genji is not only getting the healing he needs but is on the damn payload/objective.

Can’t wait to level up my Unarmed skill level!

Wait. But isn’t Heroes of the Storm already a conglomeration of Blizzard IPs?

Part payload, part assault on my senses
