So so true. New anime these days is so trope ridden and cliche. I can tolerate it a bit more since its in a different language.

I never watched the english dub. The second I heard Naruto's generic english character voice and that "Believe It!" catchphrase, I was done. Plus Sasuke's VA sounded like he was trying to hard to be the archetypal "cool" guy. To me he just sounded like he was bored.
I love that figure too. I think it was the best toy out of all the ones that came out based off the High Moon Studios games. I only wish that toy was at least a bigger deluxe size. It should've been the same size as the CHUG Optimus.

What you said is the exact reason why I take any "Top 10, 20, 100 Anime ever" list with a very small grain of salt. No one ever factors everything into the list. Its always the stuff that's come out in like the last 5-10 yrs.
