I hated it in the other films too.

That's one of the things I hated about the Nolan-Bats movies. I know this will sound like I'm a whiny fanboy because they didn't make the Batman movie that I wanted to see, but I hated that he didn't really develop his own gear. He didn't even reverse engineer any of it, which I would've been ok with because that…
I agree. Its a good example of Form following function.
Its not a shortcut playing with the character you spent time grinding to level up. You can still play the game and have fun. Hell it's more fun playing with a leveled up character in GTAO. You have way more options and weapons available to you, as well as more missions.

Man I wish this was getting ported onto PS4/Xbone. Looks like a lot of fun. Makes Titanfall look boring by comparison.
Yep! Santolouco is awesome! I love how he just tweaked their original designs (adding pockets and pouches etc.), and in the case of Dark Leo, he went way more extreme but maintained the Ninja theme. Because they're ninjas after all. That's something the Bayturtles movie designs and the designs from the Dayshot…
You hit the nail right on the head. I feel like Generations was the closest to achieving that feeling of a Sonic game that we've gotten in a long time.
If you're talking about the SatAM series, I watched that religiously. That's why I didn't mention it in my comment because Robotnik was actually pretty evil in that show.
That's not what I mean. It doesn't help a franchise/IP when you have a large number of fans that just say yes to everything regardless of if that something is of good quality or not. You'll hear/read their comments as: "Well at least we're getting something.", or: "I don't like ____ but I'm going to buy it anyway." …
I like that concept art too. I wouldn't be surprised if the artist who drew those character studies has a background in animation.
I know. That's why I only mentioned the old weekday cartoon series and not the SatAM series (Absolutely loved that series) I still watch it from time to time on Netflix.
Eggman/Robotnik has always been like that. Remember the old weekday cartoon series? Dr. Eggnik was basically just there to have his plans foiled and be the punchline for Sonic's mischievous behavior.
