I never said I was offended by it. I'm TIRED and BORED of seeing it. And not just in JRPGs but in anime too. All I'm saying is that there needs to be more variety and diversity.

I just want to see some character variety and diversity. Lightning was a good change of pace but they can take it further.

I'm just tired of the JRPG character arechetype in general. I actually want to play the new FF. The combat looks like fun, but all those guys look like more of the same over done, over stylized, overly feminine looking BS.

That fight scene is still one of the best ones in that entire anime.

FFX was the last game I played. As for FFXIII, Lightning was the only character I really liked. Snow was more pretty boy look, masculine attitude (at least to me anyway), and I fucking hated Sazh (fucking chocobo in his fro?! WEAK). I didn't care for anyone else in that game.

If FF made a game that had an in depth character creator along with that costume editor, I'd come back to this series. I'm so over the whole bijou/metrosexual/androgynous "we look like a boy band" character designs. YAWN I know that that's one of the games selling points, but I'm done.

I really dig the "true to the original look" approach that they're taking with this. Nice to see that there are people out there that know that they don't need to reboot an older movie or IP because they think that that will draw in a crowd.
