I don’t do this often because I’m a grizzled old guy, comfortably growing into my perpetual state of pre-rage. Check that, I don’t do this ever. But in this case I’m making an exception and I have to say that everything you write for this site brightens my mood. Just a bit.

Right? I grew up in the 80s and if it wasn’t with my friends, then my imaginary friend would play pretend with me (I was an only child). I don’t recall my parents ever playing pretend with me.

I feel like that’s a very high level description of almost every job, so it’s probably fine.

Expectations weren’t different we just have access to reading about the secret lives of more wacko parents.

No I was referring to the people who get offended on the behalf of others when someone is misgendered.

But the joke is poking fun at those ridiculous people, not the whole trans community. 

It doesn’t belittle anyone. Is it a dumb, unfunny joke? Yes. But it’s just poking fun at people who take gender way too seriously.
