To everybody in the world except pointlessly belligerent Latin Americans, America is one of several acceptable shorthands for the United States of America, using the shortening conventions that every other country on the planet uses in place of the longform official name. Also, much of the planet considers North and

So... Does that mean I can watch ‘Made in Abyss’ now?
*Checks Prime Video*

I watched 6 or 7 shows this past year on pirate sites, all but one or two were from Anime Strike.

Not sure why it’s a misnomer. You had to have Prime to do it (or at least pay for the separate Prime video service which was pretty close to the price of Prime without the other Prime features and was only later added as an option). They could have easily made Anime Strike a service that didn’t require Prime and only

Cheer up, don’t be sad.

I know one of the only two shows I pirate came from Anime Strike (UQ Holder).

I didn’t even REALIZE that we got Strike content on regular Prime here in Canada till last week. I totally pirated ReCREATORS, Girls Last tour, Scum’s Wish, having no idea that my TV coulda just played it off the Amazon App.

All the anime media was like ‘Anime Strike Exclusive’ and ‘Anime Strike is Only In United

Ask no more questions. Go watch it right now. Not only does it have an excellent plot, characters, and cast but it is one of if not the most beautifully animated series of the year and has set a whole new standard for CG animation.

Genderless sapient gemstones. No, it’s not a Steven Universe spinoff.

but it comes with extra necks

I honestly believe the vast majority of shows people watched on pirate sites came from anime strike. Which is unfortunate, but some people didn’t feel like paying 160 a year to Amazon to watch a handful of shows was worth it.

NOOOOOO. Watch it. It isn’t about girly things at all. The “school girl” look is just that, a look. The show is beautiful (like actually beautiful, not “beautiful for a CG”), the action is good, the story is interesting, the music is great, and it is only going to get better (I was so into it I read ahead in the

Of everything I loved about FMA:B, watching Mustang just f’ing lose was my #1 favorite.

Not really the same issue.

Except Amazon Prime isn’t free.

I don’t use Amazon Prime. I don’t do much online shopping, and when I do I don’t need immediate delivery. I do want to watch Made In Abyss, but there was no way I was going to pay $150 to watch a single show (if it was even offered in Canada that is). For me to watch anime it would indeed have been a double paywall.

I really don’t see how it could have been a success in the first place given that they restricted their audience to prime members who like anime, whom are likely to have subscribed to another anime streaming service. Not only that, but it’s a service targeted to an audience that are quite familiar with piracy so

Whoo, saving $7.00 a month now. For those wondering what they’ve been missing, go get yourself some Land of the Lustrous, Re:Creators, Scum’s Wish, Inuyashiki, Princess Principal, etc. There are a lot of great anime in there.

On double pay walls: kill them all with fire

Although for us Canadians that was how it always was... its just nice to know the US is going to get the same treatment.
