That’s why they (I am not the person who made the original comment) said on a reservation, and not “everywhere.”

You don't think Nick Martin has the privilege of a white man and gets treated like a white man?

Good thing she didn’t do those things, then?

They didn't say that's all Native Americans do. The implication was that is something you cannot do legally without being Native American. Could you name another example offhand?

No person of color could ever believe it’s hyperbolic to call this a “horrible thing,” particularly in a time where a literal racist misogynist is president.

How horrible of her, proving her claims of ancestry with actual evidence and not claiming to be a member of any tribe or identifying as Native American.

As a Democrat, I must wonder how you contorted this one into being about Trump.

What is “claim” supposed to mean here? It’s one thing to define your ethnicity based on that, but are you supposed to deny that that is even in your background?

Is there a reason they're not supposed to be proud of their heritage? Or are they only allowed to be proud of some parts?

Finally, someone with some sense.

... The whole post was satire in response to the idea that a white person would call the cops on the black children of white parents. It’s satirizing situations like Tamir Rice’s where black children are perceived as grown adults.

Citation needed.

There are obviously different levels of being a racist, unless you’re going to claim your average white person is the same as a Klan member.

Why are you surprised people respond to your comments made in a public forum?

“blacks”

Good thing it has sources which are other sites that cannot be freely edited then.

No. “Privileged” people aren’t robots. Being straight, cis, white, male, rich, dyadic, able-bodied, or neurotypical does not mean your feelings are worthless and that you don’t deserve to be treated like a human being.

Um, so you genuinely think it doesn’t work both ways and that liberals go out of their way to expose themselves to conservative ideas? Just checking.

So if someone says “black people are lazy," I should be okay with it because obviously they didn't mean me or all black people.

Let me guess: you’d have a problem if someone said “black men are trash,” though. Then you could psychically intuit that they meant all.
