With the losses on such a small ESC, probably not. I’d bet it’s only 75-80% efficient, so maybe more like 2.5hp. Also the ESC sometimes overheats with that much current, so I need to build a better cooling solution first. Or get a higher voltage pack so I can lower the current. Electric skateboards are money pits.

I would love to do a bench dyno test, I know they make those for RC cars (same motor). The numbers are based on the rated output for the battery pack & motor: 29.6V x 80A = 2.4KW, or 3.2HP. It CAN put out that much power because the motor can take it and my ESC is set to 80A max, which the battery pack can sustain, but…
