I can’t withdraw from savings. I transfer to checking if I need actual money. But I never withdraw cash or spend from my bank account. Everything goes on credit, and that gets payed from the account online.

It’s habit from when Savings actually meant something. The difference in interest rates now is negligible, but it used to be worth while keeping as much in savings as possible, and to some extent it still is, basically ~1 free lunch per month.
