That’s simply not true. I don’t know where you got that information but it’s false. The expansion of the universe is not slowing down, all observations show that and those observations would still work in a closed universe.

No, expansion can overcome gravity just like in any other universe shape. It only dictates that the universe is not infinitely large. Dark energy and curvature are independent properties of the universe.

Open and closed imply the direction of curvature (positive or negative) abd the shape. The expansion or contraction of the universe is not part of this.
