Next time you're in the market for a car, just buy a manual, even if you don't know how to drive it, nor know anyone who can/will teach you. (But they will be more inclined when it isn't their car that you're learning on.) It's very simple, and even with no one teaching you, you won't even be stalling it at all

I'd be far more interested in these stats if it was "Do you own/drive a stick shift car?" A lot of people are going to say "yes" when their only experience with it is driving a friends car around the neighborhood once.

Hell yes.

Yes, but the dirt/bugs on the "outer" lens would still be there if this was a fixed camera and the video was rotated afterwards. If it truly is a gyro cam, why is there the black area underneath the fuel tank when the bike tilts (most noticable on right turns)? That's sign to me of a fixed rectangular video frame

I think this has been "faked" as well....the video seems to have been 'leveled' after recording. Notice on the sharpest leans, there's a definitive outside-of-the-original-video-frame black area on the bottom by the fuel tank....a gyroscoped cam wouldn't have that (even if it did, it wouldn't be absolute black like

Actually, are you both wrong? I think the video has been 'leveled' after recording. Notice on the sharpest leans, there's a definitive outside-of-the-original-video-frame black area on the bottom by the fuel tank. A gyroscoped cam wouldn't have that (even if it did, it wouldn't be absolute black like that), and I

Personally, I think a well-designed wagon (like above, not a 1970s land yacht wagon) can and sometimes does look much better than its sedan counterpart. That, along with the extra space/utility, the fact that other people don't expect wagons to be fast, and the whole 'forbidden fruit' effect, are why people here love

"Some people need to face felony charges over this one."

Or old people.

OH GOD MY EYES

I'm waiting until an automaker unveils a new high-power RWD car just by driving it out on stage and doing donuts/burnouts for *at least* 30 seconds straight. You wouldn't even need dedicated smoke machines, that's what the tires are for.

I'm glad that trunkless fastback designs seem to be making a comeback. They're just so pretty.*

I know the Canadian guy who just won this auction. Got it for the reserve price ($35k), but it's going to cost him another $5k or so to get it imported (exported?). Also, he'll have trouble getting it registered for street use, as his province is one of those bass-ackwards places that don't allow 5-point harnesses

I like everything about the design of this car except for the sides, like the fenders need some more flare to them or something. And although it pains me to say it since it's usually way overdone, maybe even a body crease going along the side.

Looks to me like an Evora.

I agree. BMWs are made to be driven (especially a car like the 1M) and I wouldn't say a few 0-60 runs qualify as abuse. He paid market price for a very-highly sought-after car, and has already been offered $2k back....he should just take the money, drop the lawyer, and go enjoy his car.

It's no M5, and it's not in the best of shape, but at least my car is an E39 540i 6MT :)

I think those wheels and front lip are atrocious :(

Why would someone be accidentally shifting from 5th (on the top) to 7th (on the top)? If anything, the issue would be accidentally shifting from 4th to 7th, instead of 4th to 5th. But an easy way to prevent that would be to not let the transmission shift into 7th unless it had been already shifted into 6th.
