@IN THE FACE!: It's that little pencil-looking thing under your avatar, but it's only there for a couple minutes after you post.

@Thomas Paladino: Yes the price seems higher than it "should" be, but why wouldn't they charge that much? Anyone who can afford a $300,000 mechanical grim reaper can afford a $600,000 mechanical grim reaper. And there's not really any other car that can compete with the Venom's hell-in-a-hand-basket sort of

I spy, with my little eye, an XLR-V :)

@Wolfy Kovac: I believe those are officially referred to as how-the-hell-are-we-supposed-to-cool-this-1200hp-V8 inspired sides.

@CahbonFiabah: The car started life as a Elise/Exige, so it's not all that "original".

@Mooker: Actually, it is.

So where's the crew-less junkyard-find competitor?

@TomBasham: Wow. I know the Elise is small, but that makes it look like a Power Wheels toy. The Elise wheels alone are nearly half the diameter of the the Phantom's :o

I'm surprised that the driver in the video at 1:02 lets the clutch out on a low-revving engine, instead of heel-toe'ing or at least taking a foot off the brake to tap the throttle. I can't stand letting the clutch pull the engine revs on my crappy Civic, so there's no way I'd do it in a vintage Ferrari.

Driving on I-285 (circles Atlanta) tonight in the wet with a light drizzle, where the posted speed limit is 55, I was going 80-85mph, and was keeping up with the faster traffic. I even had a couple cars pass me, and had a cop merge onto the highway and drive next to me a little bit at 75, not caring about the people

@Xenoxus: SEUs do not happen to every susceptible electronic component, all at the same time, with identical (even noticeable) affects. This was well explained in the above article.

@Piloter: Yeah, but unless it's some revolutionary roller coaster that actually brakes for turns and accelerates afterwards (how cool would that be?) the sounds wouldn't match up with what you're feeling, which could be weird.

Late-model Tahoes/Suburbans, because other than the hidden lights (I've never seen them with exposed) and being *sometimes* marked, they're usually visually identical to normal ones — white/silver/black, alloy wheels, and dark tint.
