I tried it back when it was an unofficial Ubuntu derivative, It looked really nice and clean, but it just seemed counter-intuitive to minimize everything to open anything.

I hear Sabayon is also a great rolling-release distro. I haven't tried it, personally, but I've heard great reviews.

I tried a live CD of it one time, I kinda liked it... the only reason why I didn't go for it was the whole right-click-on-the-desktop-to-do-anything thing that #! is based around.

It is transparent, the smoke is just too thick to see through so it looks like its just solid blue, where you can see near the end of the video that it's clear, un-coloured glass .
