Publishing doesn’t automatically means the game wouldn’t exist without their money. It also depends on how the contract was setup. Another publisher could easily come in and handle the publishing on other consoles.

Exactly, these adapters translate mouse and keyboard inputs into the xinput protocol - the consoles think you are using a standard controller.

Supposedly they’re working on apis that’ll be able to detect whether or not someone’s using such a device, and will let the devs do what they’d like with them, the end result most likely being pushing XIM users to the mouse and keyboard lobbies

LOL, ask Konami if they felt the need to “leave Kojima alone”. MGS5 was unfinished, with the final resolution of the storyline mission completely left out and most of the second half of the game being a retread of the first half with more restrictions.
