"The Bitches of Westwick" wins, IMHO. Tries to somewhat follow the original story, throw in a few porn legends with some halfway decent production, definitely a must-watch.

I always used TivoDesktop, there was a Mac client that I ran until I got Snow Leopard and it wasn't compatible. Haven't checked lately, as I've just been catching shows on hulu . . . might have to rethink that with the recent news of their cost model though.

I swear by this site. My wife and I took a 10-year anniversary trip to Kauai two years ago, and a coworker turned me on to this site. I wanted to book a nice place for the 10-year, special anniversary so I didn't want to stay in a EconoLodge, you know. Well, the nice resorts were coming up on about $3000 for the

@Testamonium: Second on how respectfully Harmonix treated John and George, and I'll raise you with how disrespectfully Activision treated Kurt Cobain in GH:5. I'll never get the image of Kurt singing Bon Jovi out of my head.

Got this yesterday, and my kids absolutely LOVE the snowball fight (first image at the top in the review). The obstacle course and chicken-flying were fun too, but the snowball fight was worth the cost of admission on its own.

Now playing

Wow, I feel lied to now . . . didn't Ozzy do a commercial talking (or mumbling) about how he played World of Warcraft?

Thank you, Owen, I echo the other comments here on this great posting. It always breaks my heart to see a kid going through chemo, my wife and I have been battling breast-cancer since being diagnosed just before Christmas last year and I wouldn't wish that on anybody. Gaming has helped my kids cope, and there's

So, again . . . the graphics are amped up a bit (pun intended), nice rendition of Santana's signature PRS . . . but they STILL can't put a guitar strap on the guitars?

I was really hoping for a "Mein Leimen!" (sp?) or "Gutentag!!" sound in there, but a pretty cool video nonetheless

And yet . . . there are still no guitar straps in the GH universe . . .

@lonecow12: Great point, thinking back to when we rode it, the pull string, the force-feedback feeling like you just shot the pop-gun, and seeing the resulting ammo go flying on the screen was really a major part of the experience.

I have to agree, this is one of the best rides I've ever been on. My kids and I must have ridden this 20 times on our trip last year. Would be a great purchase for the Wii, but there are two things that make the ride great that I don't see them being able to do here.

That Borg has some great implants.

@maniacmayhem: Actually, there was an evil Gungan in "The Force Unleashed" as a boss battle. Obviously wasn't Jar Jar, but he still kind of talked like him with the whole meesa and yousa stuff. He had one eye stalk with a little stump where the other one once was. Pretty cool, actually, and I very much enjoyed

They tend to have at least one or two good deals on these worth picking up. One they had during the summer I picked up Super Smash Bros for $25, works for me. Got a couple games on wishlist for the kids, have to see what Amazon comes up with tomorrow.

@soggy_cheerio: So, typing in text works and searches contacts, but the voice recognition doesn't? Well, that would explain my troubles, wouldn't it? Might help if I RTFM... :)

I'm with you, maztec. I tried about 10 different names that it should have picked out of my phone book and it butchered them all. My wife's name is "Teri", and whenever I tried her name it came back with "Terry" and wouldn't get the contact. "SayWho?" application nails it everytime. I had another contact that instead

I absolutely love this game. And hate it at the same time. Mainly because my wife soundly trounces my scores with ease. It really is an awesome game, though, and a GREAT time-waster when you're in the doctor's office, on the bus, wherever you have a few minutes to spare. Achievements built into the gameplay for

Does the fancy throne make the drums work better? I'm holding off buying the game until I hear more on the drum issues, as that's the main draw for me. I'm a guitar-player by ex-profession, but I have always loved the drums and this game seems awesome for that.

@Shad: Because dying of dysentery was so damn scary :)
