I have triple everything as well for a kosher kitchen - I cant afford to move out of my apartment - not because it’s so great but it’s actually got cupboard space in the kitchen to hold all my crap - unlike these tiny modern kitchens with one tiny sink (where are you supposed to wash a stock pot?).

I wouldnt worry Jessica. Pre-9 11 I flew the entire way between Israel and the US like that. I flew with a sort of friend and I curled up between the chairs and he lied on the chairs - I got 6 hours sleep and noone bothered me.

My brother hired a yatch for his wedding which travelled in the water around Manhattan and I think that brought down the cost a lot - it was during Mardi Gras so we got a free fireworks show too.
