He lifted.

Texas can have all the Albertans...

Some sketchy businessman wanted to build a resort there and was fixated on it to being the last thing in the Yellow Pages...the project ultimately fell through, but the exit name stayed.

I'll bring the beer. You know... real beer. Oh, and polar bears, too; yeah, definitely polar bears. They're so much cuddlier than people make them out to be, and they have to be protected to, you know, after having had their population decimated in the Great Toronto Polar Bear Cull.

Even better response to this is when I hear people ask "do they sell diesel in the US"?

As a Canadian, I feel the urge to apologize for your frustration. Sorry aboot that, eh?

I'm from Alberta, which is the Canadian Texas. We love pickup trucks and guns almost as much as you guys. We're pretty much Texans with manners.

We don't need to wipe our boots as we take our shoes off in the entryway of a home, like civilized people. The American custom of wearing your shoes inside, especially on carpeted floors, is absurd.

This so many times. It's not funny anymore.

I would happily buy and drive a modern diesel engined-car - if a manufacturer would put a good one in any car I'm interested in. For the most part, diesels are the anomaly in North America and usually only featured on premium cars with premium packages and ultra-premium prices (eg. the recent BMW335d), or special

So much this. There is a reason most of the Europeans drive diesels. I drove a diesel 5 series there a while ago and it was brilliant.

Have Senator Ted Cruz look into this - he was born in Canada so he has an in there...

Drove the new 5-series D and was amazed at how nearly identical it drove compared to my 535. The only noticeable difference was a little more grunt and deeper engine notes around 4k rpm.

Counterargument

Pretty sure that they all eventually will, this is why most sit in storage...

When talking about being a game changer it depends on which game you're playing. However the P1 has a ton of tech that's going to trickle down to road cars and has some incredibly impressive hybrid tech itself. Completely writing it off as "just another supercar" seems kind of misguided here in the same way that

Stop being such a fucking buzzkill.

Yes. Many modern diesels are actually quieter than petrol engines (or as quiet) and are easily as refined. I drove a diesel XF recently that was like silk, and yesterday drove a Citroën DS3 diesel that was really nice as well.
