I think this basically serves as a reminder that Microsoft doesn’t really have a great track record of shepherding games to completion. While in the past it has resulted in them canceling games (or firing the studio), now that it is with studios that they own they are driving people from their jobs.

I think we can at least give credit where credit is due. CDPR came out last year saying they wouldn’t do this, and while they haven’t hit that goal, what they have done is a significant improvement over the 2 straight years of crunch for Witcher 3, even taking the reports of nonmandatory crunch for the past 6 months…
