The US government gives money to SA?
This was not culture and entertainment for “Africa” - this was an entitled rich person getting paid two million dollars for a show to entertain a dictator. A vial and oppressive dictator, who otherwise presides over an incredibly rich country, only while he’s a billionaire his people live off 2 dollars a day. What…
That whole post was so vile. Nicki is an educated woman who, presumably, knows how to use the internet. For example, she could have read thi article http://www.nytimes.com/2015/06/24/opi… and gotten an idea of what she just supported. I honestly have no words for that kind of behaviour.
The citizens of Angola don’t have access to health care or running water, much less access to this concert.
Oh, she gave the money to “the people”, did she?
That’s straight up fucked up Nicki. And there’s absolutely no excuse for it either. Angola doesn’t just have human rights abuse issues, it is one of worst countries in Africa on this. There was a great article written by N Kristof not too long ago about it, which was terrifying.
I think it was a private show at the Angolan dictator’s company party, not like a regular concert.
Oh, hey Nicki. Welcome to Jezebel.
Last time we went grocery shopping bf and I were getting a chunk of that cheese, but tge deli was out so we had to wait for the woman to break and measure it.
Do you think a “hoe bag” is an knapsack with clean undies and body wipes?
It’s ho. Unless you’re talking about a garden tool.
i know! that’s a baller gift, i would be thrilled!
Pasta in a cheese wheel is easily one of the best, most decadent thing I’ve ever eaten.
John Legend, please befriend my husband and teach him your ways.
Not to mention that, as someone else pointed out, during the Oscar buzz two years back, Lohan dragged JLaw through the mud about sleeping her way to the top. She since denied her comments, but she also denied shit talking Paris Hilton and insists she takes “vitamins” instead of drugs. Not super credible.
People who are in denial about their own shortcomings often find facing reality to be... “negative”. Anyone who brings up reality, instead of catering to their imagined victim-hood, is “negative”.
As someone who had the misfortune of sitting through every episode of Oprah’s Lindsay “docu-series” (not of my own will, but because my sister loves bad television) I am wholeheartedly with Jen. I went into that series not knowing much about Lohan (I’m in my thirties and older than the fans of her hey-dey), but had…
Earlier this year isn’t old news and who cares if it is? People still make jokes about Robert Downey Jr’s five year long coke binge. And #winning is still a thing, regardless of Charlie Sheen’s relevance.
Yeah I don’t know how you could go smile and promote a show under those circumstances. My husband died eleven weeks ago and I can still scarcely string two sentences together, let alone smile on cue. I hope she has lots of love and support to get get through this difficult time. I’d be lost without my friends and…
