Although I enjoy, and have enjoyed, a plethora of games on the PC, I'm going to say something that could come as a shock — for software sales, it's better to have a system where the hardware is locked down. When game enthusiasts, purists and novices alike can all access a game the exact same way no matter their

Holy crap - I found it. I looked through another 50 sites and finally found someone who had my version.

I had the Sound Blaster Pro when it was new, so I remember MIDI sounding slightly better than this.

"The next generation of consoles are unlikely to accommodate older games with backwards compatibility"

You remember more than I do. There are characters other than Spyro? Sorry - that was like 14 years ago. I obviously wasn't all too invested in the series then.

This exactly.

I can't believe this — I spelled it wrong. I found the place on the map! AWESOME.

Bah - the first place I looked up WASN'T THERE. Hagra's House of Ribs from Mort.

There's another board game coming out this year too.

I wanted to like this, but as soon as I hit a "corporate buzzword" I stopped dead, and that was in point #2.

^ Bumped for TRUTH.

In general, I can't complain too much. If I get specific... well, there's a lot to complain about.

Most kids have it easy these days. My mom used to beat the crap out of me if I screwed up even slightly in school. Still, I feel this kid's pain. My mother was quite physically abusive growing up, and my dad either didn't know or didn't intervene out of fear of her retaliation.

My parents got me the 2600 for Christmas of 1980. I probably had about 20 different games for it, including Raiders of the Lost Ark, Joust, Centipede, and E.T. (which I loved). Being an only child, the single-player games were far more enjoyable than any others. I had two friends who not only each had the 2600, but
