Microsoft’s conference by no means gave me a crisis in my trousers, but Sony’s sure as shit didn’t either. I mean, they finally decided to pull out new IPs, something sorely lacking last year (but that they got a free pass for from gamers for some reason), which is great; however, I saw three or four post apocalypse

That’s not what it says to me, it says they have plans for the Neo, but they either don’t really have them finalized yet, or they’re pulling a typical Sony and they’re waiting to see what everyone else does so they can change their plans I’m an effort to one up the competition.

So I’m not the only one that felt that way? I seriously thought that all but a couple of their games looked exactly the same in terms of graphics. Hyper realistic, muted colors. And how many were post apocalyptic? Don’t get me wrong, God of War liked cool, but mostly because I appreciate Norse mythology more than

Oh...and what about the Geiger counter?

I only have one question, does the radio work? And that map section had better use your phone’s GPS to give you an actual map.

Yeah, saint’s row turned to crap after the first two. I wish I knew who has the rights to Freespace.

Sadly Volition went a totally different direction and made Saint’s Row. Not that that’s terrible I liked the first three of those games. The real question is, who now owns the rights to Freespace? On the bright side, the source code for Freespace was released to the public and a lot of new games have been made from it.

Some interesting choices. Certainly reflects Japan’s taste in games, I would think that here A Link to the Past and Super Metroid would have been on the SNES list. And KotOR would certainly have been on the Xbox list.

I’m a bit of an nVidia fanboy, but I’ve gotta say the new Radeon 480 might take the cake for sweet spot when it comes out. 3D Mark scores put it near to the 1070, somewhere between the 980 and 980 ti, and it’s only $200.

Sony and Microsoft are both doing this now huh. Why do I bother buying consoles? Well, I guess Nintendo is still worth buying at any rate...

Now playing

I owned the NES version of this worthless piece of shit. I used to think I was just bad at gaming, but no it’s terrible. AVGN did an episode on this and hit all the highlights of how bad it is

I’m pretty sure the Halo community has “Halo disease."

I don’t really care about the frame rate in this case honestly, it’s the farthest thing from my mind when I think about FFX. Having played it when it came out, I can’t say I think increasing the frame rate would benefit the game in any way. The resolution and such I can understand, when trying to play on a 1080

It’s Uncharted 4, do you think they even touched the controls at this point? And has anyone yet complained about the performance? I find it doubtful there even are any performance issues to talk about. The only thing to talk about regarding this series at this point IS the story, everything else is what it always has

Can always hope that Adafruit will get them, but I’m not going to hold my breath that they’ll be in stock long enough for me to snag one. I did manage to get from strait from the UK though; however I felt the need to buy something else to justify the cost of shipping, still cheaper/better than paying a scalper.

Where does it say it took the modder a few months? Oh, you mean where he said he THINKS that it MIGHT be able to be done in a few months? The guy made an assertion about how much time he estimates it’ll take, at minimum, to get it running. Whether or not it’ll take a few months remains to be seen. It could be years,

No, they aren’t complaining that he gave it a bad review, they’re complaining that the Washington Post stuck a 4/10 on it after the author wrote the review (though people seem to think that he stuck the score on there) and that it’s tarnishing the games otherwise stellar aggregate score on Metacritic; because they’re

He’s not the comic book store guy, he’s just the only reviewer who decided to give a review that those who aren’t die hard Uncharted fans (like me) can agree with. And he’s not even the one who gave it the score. My experience with the series, having played 2.5 of the games, they’re a solid 7, maybe a 7.5; not a 4 for

I never understand the use of lacquer on these kinds of mods. They out so much on that all the crisp details get washed out, the arrows on the c buttons and D-pad for instance.

I would bloody love to, except the Pi Zero is apparently only sold to scalpers that then charge as much for it as you’d otherwise pay for a Pi 3. Seriously, I get that the Pi foundation wanted to do this one in house, but what’s the damn point if the average person can’t even bloody enjoy the product without paying
