Yeah, it’ll almost certainly simply stall the engine with no regard to gearing or clutch engagement. Fancy downshifting as a driver is always secondary to first avoiding imminent danger.

Absolutely accurate.

The 5 wasn’t great in any particular area, but it fit a niche really well. Having a smaller alternative to larger vans (including traditional minivans) while retaining the sliding door and low load floor was nice.
