Earhart’s Lockheed Electra E-10 (one of ~150 airframes of that type produced) was also an aircraft with a distinctive shape. That sonar impression is mighty similar across all features.

We never got the exact twin to the Liana in NA, but did get the Aerio, which shared most of the important platform bits. Strange little cars, but they were available with a pretty sweet AWD system (also available on the subsequent SX4).
Fair, but they’re purpose built, small volume commercial vehicles, though, so it’s a bit like remembering that there are quad cab Mitsubishi Fuso box trucks.
You’ve got a kindred spirit over at Rock, Paper, Shotgun!
Ooh, that’s a good one.
It always brings a smile to my face when I get to the end of a gnarly road and see a bone stock Nissan Sentra sitting at the trailhead. Clever driving will get you far.
You already know all of this, but for any random small fries who may come across the post...
The official announcement was back in September, but having a specific release date is a great reassurance that the finalization process seems to have gone smoothly.
Utter abominations, all of them. The Fiesta ST died for their sin and I am still angry.
They’re light and have delightfully direct steering. Less about speed and more about ziggy zaggy zwoop zwoop.
If they’re not monetizing this experiment on Twitch streams, they’re not doing it right.
Valid criticism, but ultimately they’re all various shades of awful.
The other image is full of poorly smudge-filled spots across the entire center section, too, it’s really bizarre. The left side also looks like a broken pano, an entirely separate photography failing. It looks like they wanted to conceal a foundation layout or some of the structural material. Maybe branded yard…
It’s just missing a bit of turndown at the front. And wear and tear.
They’re made by Howe & Howe, and they’ll happily sell you one.
At least they had a nice, scenic, translunar cruise beforehand.
Nice writeup, and great to see that they were able to directly answer some of your questions! This is good Jalopnik. Trucklopnik. Expedopnik. Circumvanilopnik. I’m just going to go now.
Adorbs.
I don’t know that this would merit their attention, given how distinctly proportioned the resultant kit is and how few are likely to be produced.
