It's a haltie and it prevents pulling when on leash. Works similar to a bridle on a horse and allows you to control the dog's face. When they are slack, they fit loosely and the dog can open their mouth freely. When the dog pulls it tightens up.

They have a foot operated parking brake. It's not hard to do a hill start if you know how to drive, it's just hard on your clutch.
