This topic steps over weird, hops onto strange, and vaults over ridiculous into a pool of amazing.
In this instance I think pro wrestling is tracking modern life, but a bit behind. Gender roles are changing. Male-dominated households with women as SAHMs was the norm not too long ago. A strong, athletic woman was not generally part of the male fantasy, so the market for women's wrestling was relegated to sex appeal…
If the admin values their traffic, they will take action. If they don't, their traffic will go elsewhere. There's plenty of competition.
I cannot agree.
In my area, Subway shops are ubiquitous to the point of being ridiculous. Standing at a certain point, I can literally reach four of them within a 5 minute drive. However, their setup generally looks legit. Their bread is baked on-site. No, the individual shops don't make their own dough. They ship it…
A determined community either won't respond, or report abuse to the admin. That makes it easy for the admin to block the troll.
Conceded.
Context is critical here. Chat forums are not life. No one is forced to engage any particular website. If someone comes up to you on the street, sticks a gun in your face, and demands your wallet, you don't really have a choice if you want to live. If someone threatens you on the internet, you're free to choose…
In the context of the internet, yes. I'd prefer the individual proprietors have the authority to mind their own shop. Whether they allow the rabble to run rampant or employ a huge bouncer at the door should be their decision. The clientele will decide whether it's a good place to be, and traffic accordingly.
Batman tends toward sleuth and stealth. Iron man seems more in-your-face. The path to their powers is identical, but they use it in very different ways.
Is that what the Imaginext toy is based on?
Is that what the Imaginext toy is based off of? We got that for my son. He won't let me play with it.
There's no reliable connection between your vote and a representative, either. That's still democracy. In the paper ballot world you're not held personally liable for electing a scumbag.
I wouldn't call blocking a full time job. Don't overdramatize the situation. It's a few clicks and/or button presses. Ignoring a troll is not difficult.
That's even better! You exposed a chink in their armor, and they couldn't handle it. Sun Tzu approves!
There are subdivisions of trolls. Some of the mean things done in games are done in the spirit of humor. In other cases trolling amounts to interactive satire - political or social commentary on something that seems ridiculous. Sure, some people are going to get hurt. Passion about something brings with it natural…
You must've been quite a lonely fellow on that speeder bike level.
It would truly be a wonderful world if everyone felt this sentiment.
That doesn't sound like trolling. It sounds like strategy followed by counter strategy. Well-played! I love hearing stories of wreaking furious vengeance on someone who over-relies on one strategy and then gets all hissy when someone counters it.
We need to be aware that a strom of Troll is coming. This is practically a PSA.
