Absolutely. I was convinced he was going to snap and actually choke Sally on stage at one point, but then a quick glance away told me that he would end up walking away.
Yeah, in So Cal we tend to emulate New York colloquialism in order to develop an identity of sorts, but it hasn’t exactly caught on with the rest of the world...
I am not saying he is a sociopath, I am saying that final look was sociopathic. Although he was indeed angered by Sally’s abuse, something snapped in him in those final moments. All anger faded and he was struck with a single purpose.
I was thinking the same thing, and his hairdresser did a great job too, with those little strands of grey layer in.
I’ve got to give props to Vikram Murthi for his words of mea culpa. Understanding and empathy are as much of a learned experience as is conforming to a cultural gender convention. His response is honest and gracious.
