DOH! is a good acronym is this instance.
Agreed. And speaking of the book, I am glad I read it a long time ago, and have pretty much forgotten the plot. The show seems to follow the book fairly closely (as far as I can remember) and the events that guide the story are familiar but add details that I either overlooked or were not in the book at all.
One more thought. The actress playing Lenu really captures the awkwardness that we have to endure when we are going through early adolescence. Such a dour little face— the one we create when we are scared but don’t want anyone to know it.
The teacher who runs the library is a saint. I get the feeling that he is getting very little public money for what he is doing.
B+ for this episode, but really, an A for the recap. You really are capturing the feeling of the show, Allison Shoemaker
But remember, you’ll have to explain the TAB joke to your son. At least we still have Calvin Klein undies.
Did you watch them all?
I concur! I also would love to have a recounting of the many times each episode referenced another. The episode with the cruise of Romanoffs lets us know that they are many many Romanoff descendents (and many, many stories to tell!).
Candace doesn’t say she is related to the Romanoffs, she said she knew people who were, and she was telling their story. Also, I had the impression that Jack knew very little about his father’s past life.
Well, Don definitely did have his marginalized periods during the course of the show.
Blasphemy!
Good to know if I ever go to Russia!
I was already in love with the original Oksana, despite any mental defects she may have had. Moreover, I was appalled that Anka could refuse the child. Karma dictates that Oksana II will be a disciplinary terror or get pregnant in middle school.
How is this any different than flashing gang hand signs?
Alas, me too.
wut?
Meanwhile, get your kids vaccinated anyway, even if it is a corporate run industry.
Dark. Very dark.
