Well, I am no where near that, but on the bright side, considering how low my salary is, getting to 8X that in the next 30 years shouldn't be that difficult.

I can certainly appreciate the rehabilitation side of the criminal justice system, but we're not talking about shoplifting from Dillards here. How do you not even get put on probation for a rape that indirectly led to a woman's death?
"This also applies to technicians."
Or maybe you should have made your point more clearly, whatever it was.
I encourage you to run 800 feet of cable, lug 70+lbs of gear up and down risers, and sprint back and forth to the truck because the reporter forgot his phone/pen/tamaguchi in 100 degree heat - all while wearing formal clothing.
Kind of looked like he was worried he was going to drop his papers. Can't imagine those would be easy to get if they got lost in the cockpit...

I know this is 100% off topic, but when I was shooting video a few years ago (as I often do as a news camera guy) on the side of a road in Las Vegas, I found a freaking Japanese license plate.
And you can't argue statistics and facts with a conservative.
The deficit has actually decreased (FY2015 will be the first year it goes back up since FY2011 [source]). This is thanks mostly to revenue increasing as a result of the improving economy. Perhaps you're thinking of the debt.
Thanks Luke. I'd hoped to buy Comicon tickets this weekend, but instead I bought this. *sigh*
I have a saying I end up saying to a lot of people more and more these days...
"Usually, if there is a real hostage situation..."
Harder, but not impossible. If you live in an E911 area, they can pin you down pretty well off of the cell towers.
Not defending, but if there's a helicopter involved, it was likely already up and on patrol anyway. I've never seen a SWAT-only helicopter. As militarized as the police have become, they generally don't repel in like Delta Force Commandos...
