Not going to lie, the comments section makes me happy. I have been a cyclist for 15 years and a car nut far longer, and I distinctly remember when the Jalopnik comments section was vehemently anti-cyclist to the point of some who advocated for what this asshole did.

I’ll disagree simply because they’ll never make it to the crusher- local taxi companies have discovered that Tesla 3s make awesome cabs and they run them into the ground- when they’re done with them there’s nothing left to crush.  Which is kinda awesome.

He didn’t do anything embarassing. It’s not his car, he wasn’t the driver and he wasn’t even in the car during the crash. Great job for insulting the guy based on nothing. Next time, try to understand what he’s saying maybe?

And he was saying it was outstanding that Tesla detected the crash and immediately called the guy (I’m guessing while the dust was still settling). But hey definitely makes a better headline this way.

I don’t think the guy in the video was a driver or passenger in that car.

Pretty sure the guy doing the video was not involved in the crash at all.  He says, “the guys are fine”

I think the guy is up beat because 1) it isn’t his car and 2) he got to watch it wreck.

Covid was the leading cause of death for cops in 2021. If they want to endanger their fellow officers by coming on the job contagious, whatever. Too bad that they aren’t concerned about public safety for the rest of us they’d infect.
